During the Covid lockdown, Elefari moved to Karen and discovered a beautiful African olive tree that had fallen in their garden. One night, lightning had struck two trees, 200 meters apart. Every few days, the staff would ask if they could cut it up for firewood.

They realized they had to act quickly otherwise, the tree would be lost to the fireplace. With lockdowns and curfews giving them time, they began experimenting with merging wood and resin. And so, Elefari Woodcraft was born
